A public consultation on the Aged Care Workforce Strategy is now open on the Consultation Hub.
The Minister for Aged Care, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM, MP announced an expert taskforce, led by Professor John Pollaers, to develop a wide-ranging workforce strategy for the aged care industry for growing and sustaining the workforce and providing aged care services and support for older people, to meet their care needs in a variety of settings across Australia.
We want to hear from:
- consumers, their families and informal carers
- people with special needs
- service providers
- peak groups
- other stakeholders.
The consultation will be open for five weeks, closing on 16 March 2018. Community Consultations to be held:
Melbourne - 26 Feb 2018 at CBD, William Street
- 9:30am-11am for consumers
- 12pm to 1:20pm for providers
- 2:30pm to 4pm for workers
Please email the Taskforce secretariat to RSVP. Venue capacity is limited so you are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Your feedback will be used to inform the Taskforce’s considerations in line with its terms of reference.
